across the news

Enticed away by promises
of a better life
THEY LEAVE THEIR HOMES.
Being an immigrant is not
easy task:
we are most vulnerable
when away from our homes.
We become easier to kill
when away from our familiar environments
it is even more difficult
to protect ourselves.

Some days I hear of many
drowning
another day of many lost
at sea.
